No need to apologize, I feel the same about Pitt! I feel like since I've spent my undergrad here, and have been able to build rapport with the faculty, that I have the best chance of getting in here... but I am sooo ready to get out of Pittsburgh. It's a great city and has treated me well the past 5 years, but I would like a change of scenery as well. And I feel guilty for feeling this way because I should be so lucky to get into Pitt! Cheers to hoping for options! -

Thanks for all this info Ashley! You're like the little bird that filters all the info back to us in agony on the east coast! Do you want to stay at UW? -

Hey FutureSLP! Check out the link below to the forum for the 2011 cycle. It's basically like a CSDCAS support group haha (I'm not sure if you had to use that application system for any of your schools - but it sucked!) Some of the bloggers are beginning to hear back from some schools, so anticipation is high! Come join the fun!

Hi past applicants! I am currently going through the admission cycle and have received an interview at nyu. I was wondering if any of you knew how many people were offered admissions out of the people who were offered the interview? Just curious as to what my chances are. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know how many people who are offered the admission interview are actually accepted to NYU? I think UW is becoming the school I want but know I can't have. Oh.... my heart, it hurts... so do my nailbeds. -

I think as long as you can answer: 1. Why their program 2. Why SLP 3. Why you you're good! I know they're general questions but it gives you a lot of room to fit in whatever qualities, experience, etc. you think sets you apart from other applicants. Good luck!!!! Anyone apply to/hear back from University of Washington - Seattle? I'm particularly anxious to hear back from them. -

I haven't heard anything yet :\ ... it is definitely nerve wracking. I think there is a forum on this website of SLP masters applicants from last years cycle - you might want to check that out. You can check the dates of all the posts and get a sense of when last years applicants started to hear back from some schools. I'll try and find the link and post it on here for you. -

right?! I had to talk to the CSD at Pitt, and I guess they had to call CSDCAS directly and access them from the website. What a nightmare! -

WELL THIS IS FUN. I got an email from Pitt today saying they received my app from CSDCAS but that it is incomplete - they said they are missing my letters of recommendation. REALLY?! How is this possible CSDCAS? They have been submitted since Jan 10!! ELECTRONICALLY!!!! And after waiting ohhhh I don't know... 45 minutes? to speak with someone from CSDCAS, they urged me to tell all my schools that they can access this info online. Even though all the schools I applied to have assured me they won't even glance at my app until they have received everything FROM CSDCAS. ijfsdfawes;fidjawesd
