when are we supposed to receive teh official acceptance letter? i was accepted 3 weeks ago...

wow thanks for letting me know this. for some reason mine was checked off NO as well. i am going to call the office now to make sure they switch it. i wonder if it was changed to no b/c my application didn't go 'complete' until a couple of days after the deadline.....

i talked to gwu's mpa program director recently and she said that they have not been informed yet about how many scholarships they will be able to give out this year. she said each year it's usually about 4-5 scholarships that are given out...

hm did they explain why they didn't give you funding? how do they determine it? do you guys think it's mainly based on high stats (gre/gpa)?

i applied here too. do you think if the application didn't go "complete" until a couple wks after the deadline will the app still be considered for scholarships?

did the hard copy come in with funding info?

oh i see...hm well i didn't submit mine until the only a few days before the jan 15 deadline.

do people who have heard back earlier have a better shot at scholarship money? or maybe that's not a right assumption to make....?

policy_applicant: no need to fret! you got into some good schools already so i'm sure you will hear back with more good news in the coming weeks. hmm so i got a call from a professor from one of the schools i was accepted at. she called to congratulate me and told me to call her back if i had questions about the program. but my phone has been acting weird and only last night did it pick up the voicemail or alert me to it. the call was from over a week ago. =/ i tried calling her back today but she didn't pick up so i just left a message. i just feel bad that i missed the call and only now got back to her! i hope she doesn't think i'm not interested in the program b/c i definitely am!! now i'm just keeping an eye out for her to return my call. sigh.

thanks! i didn't really check if any programs stressed it more so i guess i'll just have to wait and see...

would having a limited econ background put you at a disadvantage for admission into mpa programs? or is it stressed more for those applying for thier mpp?
