I do second half of the "long nineteenth century" - so Reconstruction through the Progressives, 1860s-1920s, basically. I try to bridge the historiography of the 19th and 20th century, but if you insist on pigeon holing, I'd get put in the 19th century.
I'm an Americanists and got a UPenn invite yesterday.
I also got an email from my potential supervisor at Harvard saying I had been accepted.

I got the same email. My understanding is this is close to an acceptance. Assuming nothing goes wrong when you meet with potential supervisors, it's clear sailing.
