Hi all,
I have a special situation here. I'm a Canadian citizen who has resided in the US for more than 10 years. I have not gotten a greencard, and have wandered from TD, H4, TN, to now H1-B status. I will be quitting my job relatively soon, and will need a F-1 visa to begin school again in the US. When I go through customs, will I have any issues? I know they don't like to grant visas to people who have expressed intent to stay in the US. After 10+ years, I really have no physical ties to Canada anymore - no property, no bank accounts, nothing... Is there a chance they'll reject my F1 application?
Thanks in advance for your input!
