  1. I got the same message from Vandy. I haven't seen anything else yet? Does this mean I'm rejected?

  2. Oh boy, that sounds just great. I probably better stay on top of it then, and make sure that they have (/find) everything they need. (This also makes it sound like they won't be in a position to make any admissions decisions anytime soon, btw.)
  3. Well, if the university has you pay any fees, or if you have any other qualifying educational expenses, you can list those as a credit, with the possibility of reducing your tax burden to (close to) 0 (on the Federal level at least. I'm not sure what happens on the state level).
  4. Just received a rejection from Emory by email. Two rejections today so far…well, at least it's not Valentine's day anymore, haha.
  5. I assume it's a yield thing too...I'm guessing a lot of people accepted NWU's offer. Oh well... Just went and checked the status of my app at JHU, and I only now noticed that they listed one of my transcripts as "not official", and another one as "not received". As for the "not official" one, it was an original transcript that was sent to JHU in the official, sealed school envelope it came in. I don't know how to make it any more official than that. As for the "not received one": it was from a school where I obtained two degrees, so the sealed envelope from the school contained both (official) transcripts, and were clearly marked as being separate transcripts. The status page does list the other one of the pair as "received," so they did get it--I'm positive. Just airing my frustrations here--if I'm extremely thorough and meticulous in putting my app together, why can't they review it with the same care? Now I have to email them to make them correct something that was never wrong in the first place...
  6. Northwestern just ended my limbo and posted their decision, a rejection. Not a total surprise anymore at this point, but still disappointing...
  7. Yep, that would be me as well! I haven't heard anything from Northwestern yet either, positive or negative...
  8. Same here, no news yet. My last name starts with a V, so I'll probably be at the bottom of the pile...
  9. No, I believe you go to https://gradstatus.northwestern.edu . You log in with the email address you used for your application, and your application ID. You then get to see a status page with all kinds of useful information. Hope this helps!
