what about funding v. funding case.. what is the likelihood of facing problems?

It is April 6th, and I am still waiting for 6.. I hope to hear some news today.. bad or good.. it does not matter at this point..

you are right but I am not sure about it.. Indeed, the only financial aid I am offered is from them, but of course in case of getting funding from one of my fav. school I will inform them immediately..

I have said that I am accepting your offer by e-mail but they asked me to send them my signed agreement by fax or email.. They said that it is enough to write "I accept your offer" and sign it.. Would that be something binding me to that university.. I accepted them but I am still waiting 7 more answers and my fav. school has also accepted me but I am waiting funding for going to that.. I do not think that signing an agreement phrase be binding but I should be sure about it.. by the way, in the offer letter they sent, it was told that any preliminary decision made may be reversed without consequence up until April 15th..

yes to both, but they are asking me to answer within two weeks after the receipt of the letter.. and two weeks end tomorrow, so I have to accept them now..

What about before April 15? I mean I have to answer a univ. offer within a week, but still waiting answer from 7 more.. I got accepted by my fav. univ. but financial aid is unsure at this time.. can I accept the offer of other univ. and then say no I am not coming incase of getting financial aid from my fav. school.

Thank you, I know 2 more people who have not heard from UCSD and those have very strong records. So, I am still hopeful about it. By the way, I know a guy who is admitted to masters program of Columbia..

From the above i have applied to BU and UCSD EE programs. I have not heard from any of them. I think you still have chances since one of my friends got rejected by Princeton but admitted to several universities including Stanford, Michigan-Ann Arbor and Cornell which are ranked better than Princeton.. But my same friend has also acceptance from UCSD with funding. I think we at least missed chance of getting fellowship from it..

I have admitted to the Univ. of. Maryland electrical & comp. eng . Ph.D. program and they told me it is unsure that funding will be available for me? What does it mean? Am I on a waitlist for fellowship or should I contact a faculty member for a RA..
