no I haven't received funding. meanwhile I have got UMASS- Amherst admit for fall 2011. My other mods are NCSU & ASU. I know CMU is better than UMASS but only doubt is CMU is already very expensive & not getting internship means my parents have to fund it entirely. Thats the main doubt. as I said ealier, waiting 6 months is not a problem for me, also CMU MS completes in 1.5 yrs so I will graduate at the time of other fall 2011 students.

Hi, I'm in a situation here. I'm trying for MS in embedded systems. I've got a reply from CMU stating that I've got admission in ECE for Spring 2012, though I had applied for Fall 2011. I hven't yet received replies from other 8 uniersities I've applied to. CMU was my moderate ambititious university. so my main concern is, if I get rejects from my top universities & get admits for fall 2011 from the moderate universities, what should I choose? What are the pros & cons attending in spring & fall terms? I have heard that there are no summer internships for spring students, which is quite logical. what are other disadvantges? as I'm working right now, waiting 6 months more won't be a problem for me. Thanks in advance for the replies.
