Any word from UMass Amherst Ph.D? I still haven't heard a thing. Have all the acceptances gone out before their spring break, or are they still making decisions? Any info would be appreciated-

Any Ph.D applicants out there who've heard anything from UIUC ICR? I haven't seen anyone post anything about this program, so just wondering. It looks like their spring vaca starts on the 21st, so hopefully we'll be hearing before then.

Thanks for the info Copperboom! Just curious, did the UMass Comm dept. send this out as an email notification to all grad applicants including Ph.Ds? Or did you ask them? I called them around 2/10 because my materials status still said "no" for all of my transcripts (which still hasn't changed), and they said they had everything ready for review. I guess they are just taking their time... :roll:

Hi all. I got an email from a program director saying that I got accepted with funding(none of the schools mentioned here). They'd like to know asap if I'm still considering attending, and only after I make a decision will I receive a hard copy offer letter with further materials. However, I have yet to hear from a couple other places. How do I politely write back saying that I am still considering but I need more time (like a month) before I make a final decision? Can I say that I am waiting on other programs? Also, if I don't get back to them soon, is it possible that they take back the acceptance? Sorry for all the questions. Everything makes me nervous at this point. :|

The UIUC website says they strive to notify applicants by 3/1. I guess that means we'll be hearing at the latest around mid-March. I wonder if they do interviews..

Hi, I have a question. I received an email from a grad coordinator saying that they want to consider me for a doctoral fellowship. They didn't mention anything about being admitted, they just had me send in additional materials. Does this mean I've been accepted, or do you think my admission is contingent on whether I get the fellowship?

PhD comm @ UIUC and Amherst here. Do you know when they usually start sending out decisions? Have you heard anything about interviews? Btw congrats to those of you who've been accepted! It must feel great!
