  1. I've been wondering about this too--with such an early deadline, committees had applications in December, and so on. I had just figured an implied rejection. Official notice would be nice, though.
  2. Similar to the above, I am about to be 28 and I applied for a PhD for the fall, so I will be well into my 30s by the time I finish! I won't be a spring chicken when I'm done, but the up-side is that I feel much more focused than out of undergrad and even out of my first grad program... but I know it's hard to feel hopeful it's more competitive than ever, but don't let the age thing make you think you can't give it a another shot. (my mother, btw, finished her BA in her thirties, phd in late thirties, and then finished a second phd in her late 50s/early 60s!)
  3. I was accepted too, but haven't heard anything beyond the email about visiting days. Looking forward to hearing more about funding! Seems like there were a lot of acceptances--how many do they usually take, anyone know? or how many apps they receive?
  4. thanks for sharing--that sounds like exciting work! would you be willing to share other stats, whatever you feel comfortable with?
  5. any word on research areas? If the accepted are watching this forum, that would be nice to know.
  6. Yes I am surmising. I think their rejections have been made. As for other statuses (wait lists, MA, etc) I can't say.
  7. Also on waitlist. Heard I was at the top for my research area. If someone in my research area drops, I would be in, and so on.
  8. Yes, they have already made rejections. 150+ applications for 3 spots.
  9. Accepted as well, to the PhD (lit studies). 96% verbal gre, 53% quant, 99% writing. ~50% subject test. several publications. No word on funding.
