  1. What about an MA in Anthropology at a lesser known, but still respectable university, such as Brandeis or WashU? I received significant scholarships from them and it seems like a better idea to pursue an MA that will only cost 10,000 dollars in loans than one that will place me 40-50,000 dollars in debt (probably more with living expenses).
  2. Nevermind. I just checked the website and I was rejected. They couldn't even send email notification? The rejection letter seemed sincere, but it's pretty rude to not even bother to send an accompanying email.
  3. Does anyone know anything about Northwestern? For some reason, Northwestern is not mentioned much on grad cafe. I know they have contacted a few applicants for interviews. I was never contacted - does that mean I was rejected? Do they accept applicants without interviews?
  4. Hey UNCanthro, I saw that some people have posted acceptances and rejections from UNC-Chapel Hill. I haven't heard anything - should I just assume rejection? Have they notified all acceptances or maybe they are deciding if I should be waitlisted?
  5. NYU's Draper Interdisciplinary MA Program in Humanities & Social Thought accepts applicants until July 1st.
  6. NYU's Draper Interdisciplinary MA Program in Humanities & Social Thought accepts applicants until July 1st.
  7. Congrats to everyone on their admissions to various programs as well as receiving interviews at really competitive places! Does anyone know if no interview at Northwestern means rejection? Do they admit sociocultural students without interviewing them first? Has anyone heard from JHU or Columbia?
  8. So, I guess if I didn't get an email from Princeton, I've been rejected?
  9. Verbatim, thanks for the info on Northwestern. So does that mean no interview = rejection?
  10. Any info on Northwestern?
  11. So if we were admitted to Princeton, should we have received some type of contact from the department? Has anyone heard from Northwestern? I saw that some people were contacted for interviews in January. Does no interview mean rejection? Also, does anyone know if Johns Hopkins does interviews?
