  1. Thanks Abogs for starting this thread! Another question for Mushroom -- does your firm's government/public sector practice recruit at the business school or the policy schools? For some reason, I was under the impression that the traditional positions of these consulting firms recruited at the b-schools, while the public sector/government practices of these firms, limited their recruitment to the policy schools. Perhaps it is not this black and white? Thanks everyone!
  2. @Urbanwonk. A dual PhD at CMU will take you wonderfully far. Congratulations!
  3. Last year's forum suggested that people were waiting until about 5p Boston time...I'm anxiously waiting! Fingers crossed for all of us!
  4. I'm out of state and was also named an honors fellow. The package is $10k a semester with a waiver for the nonresident portion.
  5. rejection emailed too
  6. Thanks dChrome...much appreciated!
  7. @IdealThinker -- love your positive posts!
  8. David, thanks so much for starting this!! Berkeley is one of my top choices, but I have so many questions now, since leaving DC and my current policy job is scary. I'd like to second all of Mushroom's questions! My one additional question the amount of management experience or coursework at GSPP. I understand that the MPP program will provide all the quant-training in the world, but am looking to gain both public and private management training through the MPP and Haas courses, if possible. Oh, also, how easy is it to take other courses at Berkeley, like art or languages? Thanks!!!
  9. Hi all, I'm a bit nervous about GSPP's recruiting attitude relative to other schools. Generally speaking, its not really that big of a deal that they never picked up their phone during admissions season, or the disorganization of the wrong Admit Day/not bcc'ing, or the financial aid office's email back to me with typos... But, I just don't want this sort of treatment as a graduate student. I'm looking for a career services that's very interactive with students and professors that are very resourceful and not only focused on their own research. Thoughts? Would love to get the insights of current students if they're on this chain!
  10. Admitted today! Very exciting. Everyone go home to your mailbox!
  11. Kyeulsa, I was supposed to hear back about scholarships the week of Feb 14th, but didn't hear back for over a week later -- I think they tend to be a bit late.
  12. Congrats Mushroom! And thanks for the dates!
  13. I'm jumping the gun here, but does anyone know when GSPP's admit day(s) will be? Just trying to plan visiting all the schools...if admitted of course!
  14. I received full tuition as well. I have a 3.87 GPA with an 800 Quant and a 670 Verbal, 4 years of work experience. Does anyone know if we can take more than 12 credits at USC? I'm thinking a fun class..photography or a foreign language!
  15. No news is good news, from Georgetown. I read last year's forum and they do things in several batches!
