  1. Was just told the friend's decision letter arrived yesterday.
  2. When I hear of the letter's arrival, I will post on this thread.
  3. I'm speculating that you were given accurate info. It's probably the mailing process. I bet the post mark will not be March 15. The 15th is probably when admissions sent the pile to Harvard mail services and from there it had to make it through postal processing before heading to each applicant.
  4. Was just in contact with friend who has applied to SEAS for Phd. He lives about two towns away from campus. Nothing came in either today or yesterday's mail. If a decision letter were mailed on Tuesday, he should have received it by now. To me this means that either they were not all mailed on the 15th or the process of "mailing" takes time beyond that of the USPS.
  5. There have been four posted MS acceptances this March. One received the 6th and posted the 7th under Harvard SEAS. Two posted on the 9th, Two under Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences but one is listed as F11 and the other S11. One on March 10th (probably SteveFan above) also under HGSAS but "school" is spelled wrong in the full school name which makes it difficult to search on.
  6. Adelashk - good luck to you!
  7. Sorry I wasn't clear. Large envelope with offer of acceptance inside and details on costs, housing, and admitted student orientation on April 1. Post mark was March 4 but live in eastern Massachusetts.
  8. 4 applications- Northeastern MS CS - accepted & being considered for full tuition w/ stipend federal scholarship, should learn about it this week Tufts MS CS - accepted w/ 40% tuition scholarship Harvard SEAS MS CS - accepted BU MS CS - no news
  9. Acceptance to CS Masters apparently arrived yesterday.
  10. Interesting info. I agree that posting the link may be frowned upon. Were there certain search parameters that let you to this other thread?
  11. similar question, but at the moment since Harvard SEAS's decision has not yet come, it may be completely premature. same area of interest as OP ie information assurance/computer security IYO which would be the smarter choice should that both be options CS Masters Northeastern University College of Computer and Information Science (assume full funding/stipend from Federal scholarship, decision comes next week) CS Masters Harvard SEAS Also, to add to the discussion, consider to possibility that employer funds the Masters/stipend. That decision will not come until April.
  12. purplesmoke - that does seem to be the PhD pattern, for which there is much more posts/data adelashk - much fewer results posts for Masters here and with the lack of information on the SEAS site, it is hard to tell. But from the past years' history, in 2010 rejections were posted on March 15, 14, in 2009 rejections on March 17 but an acceptance on March 18, in 2008 an acceptance on March 26, in 2007 an acceptance on April 5, and in 2006 an acceptance on April 1. So in total 7 "Masters" posts, all of which were after March 15. It does look like there may be a pattern that may hint to decisions going out earlier in the more recent years. But hard to tell with the limited information.
  13. Those notifications that are going out, are you referring to PhD only or MS as well?
  14. Anyone aware of the how and when of Harvard SEAS CS Masters admits/rejections?
