Sure - I don't mind sharing. There are a few differences in my application. First of all I applied to far fewer schools the first round. Second, I spent the past year learning another language and taking extra classes at a local University. Third, last round I was pretty cocky and sent in as a writing sample a paper that I wrote for a literature class, thinking that it was the best example of my writing and touched upon the topics I am interested in researching in Art History -- not considering that it didn't allow the committee to see how I actually wrote about visual material. This time I sent in a new essay, more related to what I want to do. Of course, I revised all my materials this round, but grades, GRE scores, most of my letters of rec. were all the same, as was my intended research topic.
Hope this helps someone out there who just got rejected. Try again!
