  1. Thank you . My interview is for the foundation program. I see you applied to Loyola as well--is that for foundation or 2 yr?
  2. Hello SLP-ers! I have an interview on Friday for Loyola and I'm getting nervous. I'm sure it varies based on program, but for those of you that have interviewed, what kinds of things do you find that they ask you? I'm bound to be nervous so I want to be as prepared as possible.
  3. I have heard back from Redlands, but that's the only CA school I applied to. I know others have heard back from some other ones in CA, though. Where did you apply?
  4. Just got rejected from Emerson . I had a feeling, but meeeeh. I think I had a competitive application, but they had so many applicants. I guess I just feel extra lame 'cause I've only seen acceptances from Emerson on here, so I'm special...and not in the good way. Oh, well. Congratulations to all of you who were accepted!
  5. Has anyone NOT heard from Emerson yet? I feel like many people have...on Ecommon, it says "Admission Decision not available at this time" and I have received nothing in the mail. Is this their way of telling me "Thanks, but no thanks" or is there someone out there who knows something or is in my same boat?
  6. Okay, a few things: 1. Has anyone heard from University of Colorado @ Boulder? I have heard zilch and seen nothing on the boards, but thought I'd ask anyway. 2. I got accepted to Redlands (yaaaaay!!!) but when I inquired about funding, the woman said loans, all loans -_____-. Is that for everyone, you think? Or just me, despite being broke as a joke (according to FAFSA)?
  7. Oh, and by the way, I just called BU to ask when admissions decisions might be made--the man on the phone said a week to a week and a half. March Madness has begun!
  8. I saw that too. I don't think it exists unless you've been accepted? I can't find it, either, and from other information on the website, it appears as though that is only available to accepted students who wish to confirm their admittance. Not sure if that makes sense, sorry, it made more sense in my head.
  9. Ahh, I just looked. Now, instead checking 300 times a day, I'll be checking roughly around 700. Thanks, bahaha.
  10. You all have been super helpful with all my neurotic stressball-ness, I am consulting the SLP hivemind once more: As I posted yesterday, I have an interview for Loyola's foundation program on the 18th of this month. I am excited--except that I live in Southern California and a flight out to Maryland is over 700 hundred dollars, which is just slightly less than what I make in a month. The interviews are only about 20 minutes long and it seems like a lot of money to spend for a short amount of time and without guaranteed admission. However, I did e-mail and ask if they would consider a phone/Skype interview. They said that, due to the large volume of candidates, they are not granting phone interviews. I don't want to jeopardize my chances, but as I stated above, that is a LOT of money to be spending, not to mention that I have no guarantee of getting in. Help?
  11. Hey all, I just received an e-mail from Loyola requested an interview for their Foundation program (no SLP background) and I am very excited but incredibly nervous! I'm sure it depends on the school, but have any of you done interviews for programs? What are they like? How should I prepare? Ahhhhh!
  12. Has anyone heard from Emerson or Boston U? I know CSDCAS may be playing a role, but I haven't heard anything yet and according to last year's stats, this should be around the time I'd be most likely to hear something, and yet, nothing. Going...slowly...crazy. I haven't heard from any of my other schools either, but their deadlines were also all in February, so I haven't reached nervous-anixous-panic mode yet.
