No, I don't have any info about what we will be doing, other than the dinner Sunday night and the reception on Monday evening mentioned in the invitation. I wish I did though--I was wondering the same thing about whether this will be an interview or more of a recruiting event. I'm also curious how likely it is that those invited to the visit will end up getting offers. I really love everything about their program. I've read and re-read their graduate student handbook on SMU's English Department website and it just sounds so perfect. I love that it's a small program, and that they foster close mentoring relationships between grad students and faculty. And I almost can't believe the incredible research and travel support, on top of the huge fellowship. AND no teaching the first year or the dissertaion year. Ok, I am getting myself too excited; must remain calm Whatever happens, I figure being invited to the visit is a good sign, so I'm trying to just enjoy that for now and hope for the best.
