  1. So I have decided that I will send them an email telling them that their is a possibility of a fellowship. Thanks for the advice.
  2. Decaf, Yeah same one of my professors may not submitted recommendations or may have I called them and they said they would know by last week friday. Of course they didn't send anything. Now even if I get into Berkeley I doubt I will choose them... I wish they would tell me so that I could finally decide what to do with my life.
  3. The application is due by March 1 but the guy has conditionally accepted me for the internship. I don't know exactly what he means about the fellowship. Should I mention it to the grad schools anyways. Thanks
  4. I am in the same boat. I applied to their phd program in Computer Science. Just let me know if I got rejected or not atleast. One of my professors may not have submitted a recommendation so I might not even be in the running.
  5. What I asked: Should I apply to the fellowship even though I am waiting to hear back from schools?I am not sure when they will make decisions. Response: If you can get the paperwork started now, then you can finish it by the time you arrive in Late May. Try it if possible to keep the options open. Opinion: I am their top pick for a internship. But, not sure about the fellowship based on the response I got. How much is a fellowship from NASA? Would it enough to cover the cost?
  6. Waiting to hear back from a few schools. Should I mention to them the possibility of NASA giving me a fellowship? Thanks
  7. Lost hope of ever hearing back from any of them... Rejected: Carnegie Mellon, University of Washington Seattle Still Waiting: U of I, UC- San Diego, Colorado State University, University of Oregon, UC-Berkeley, UC-Irvine, University of Texas-Austin. The funny thing is NASA is offering me a internship and a possibility of a fellowship but I haven't got accepted into any grad school yet. It requires going to grad school. Atleast the NREIP program allows me to do research with them for 10 weeks over the summer even if I don't go into grad school. Maybe they care too much about me having only a Bachelors of Science and my GPA is only a 3.44. Maybe thats why. Anyone hear back from these schools? Guess I should start looking for a job.
