My Dear Universities,
Why do you want to break up with me so soon? I know that long distance relationships are tough, but you just have to say the word and I would come running. Think of all the things that I have done for you. Those tests that you set up for me, I did them for you. I whispered sweet nothings in your ear via the poetry of my SOP, not to mention unleashed a torrent of veritable academic craft, just to give you a "sample" of things to come. I tried to love you all equally, though, you, I might have elevated above the rest (perhaps it was because you played the most hard-to-get).
I know that some of you have been talking to other suiters, but I will not hold that against you. However, the continued silent treatment is wearing upon my psyche. I keep waiting by the phone hoping that you will call. All in vain.
If you want to break up, I will accept it (grudgingly), but this continual silence...it's just not working for me anymore.
Languishing,
BD
