Just checked the website and I was rejected by Clemson University for their Masters program. No big deal, at least I got some closure. I also sent an e-mail to George Mason to check on the status of my application there. Got a response that I am waitlisted... he said it was unlikely that I receive an offer but that I am not completely out of the running. GMU is such a good school, I doubt many people will turn down an acceptance. However, I am still fully prepared and happy to attend the University of Tulsa who was the first to accept me. =)

Does anybody have anything they can share about Tulsa? Good neighborhoods, bad neighborhoods, good night life spots?

My fiancee is getting dragged along with this whole mess and I'm sure she is getting tired of hearing me talk about it. She just wants to know where she is going to live and work for the next 2 years. Every time I think about how stressful this is for me, I try to remember that she must feel like she has absolutely no control over her destiny.

sometimes I can just picture my application sitting on someone's desk with REJECTED stamped on it, but the person whose job it is to relay that informaton is just a terrible, lazy employee who shows up late, takes 10 smoke breaks and leaves early.... suddenly it's April and they realize... oh crap, better take care of all these rejection letters. probably not the case, but you can see how I demonize others who dare test my patience.

I need to hear something soon or I'm going to lose my mind!

I applied to 4 master's programs in I/O Psych and have only heard from 1, an acceptance e-mail from University of Tulsa. There are 3 others that I have yet to hear from and it is driving me crazy... George Mason - deadline Feb. 1st U of Oklahoma - deadline Jan. 1st Clemson - deadline Jan. 15th I'm happy that I haven't received rejection notifications as of yet, but I would almost rather receive a rejection then be hung out to dry like this! Not really, but everyday is a battle. Good luck...

Congrats Joe, sounds like you are making a killing in Canada, and with free health care to boot!

I've also seen that some Mason rejections have already been sent, so I think its a good sign that we haven't heard anything yet. I'm thinking we will hear mid-March, but I have a sneaking suspicion that, if accepted, there will be minimal to no funding. =(

Hey guys, I'm new to these boards but I just wanted to share my decisions or lack thereof with all of you. I applied for MA programs at George Mason, Clemson, Oklahoma, and University of Tulsa. I also applied for a PhD at Kansas State which was promptly rejected two weeks ago by postal mail. George Mason - nothing yet Clemson - contacted professor by e-mail and was told that the first round of acceptance letters have been sent but I have received nothing. Oklahoma - nothing yet University of Tulsa - recommended for acceptance via e-mail 2/18/11 Kansas State (PhD) - rejected via postal mail 2/20/11 I am eager to see if anyone else has applied for these programs and what they have heard, if anything. I am more than happy to go to the University of Tulsa but I wanted to at least hold off until I heard from George Mason. Also, is anyone else attending the Visitation Day in Tulsa on 3/11? Good luck to everyone. I never realized how impatient I was until I began this process!
