  1. That is exciting! I just found out the other day I am still being considered for the program.. They were missing something before.
  2. Congrats on your decision! Have you started buying all orange yet?
  3. I don't know anything about them personally, except for what I read on the website... I still have not heard anything from them! There is a newsletter on I think the first page that states what has been happening in the program for the last 2 years and it was very informative. Along with the medical track, they are going to offer I think adult neurogenics, a Dementia specialty, and something else. My main concern is cost because I do not think anyone said they got funding and even if I did get accepted, I am out of state tuition. Oh and in the newsletter, it made it seem like all the on campus clinics were not in the same place and that they were trying to build a new speech and hearing clinic. They are in the process of raising money. Did you go to their interview? I wonder what specific internship sites they have.
  4. Congrats on making your decision! I had a tough time too after I made mine. I kept wondering if I should email them back and try to make it work. However, it all came down to money for me and I am excited /nervous to start in the fall! I think my summer will be spent reviewing just so I can make sure I'm somewhat prepared.
  5. Honestly, It depends on how much debt, if its worth it or not... For my own personal situation, graduate school without any type of assistantship will cost about 30,000 in state... However, I am still hopeful for funding. I don't think that is too much, but I still have undergrad loan debt, so its not an ideal situation. Would I pay more than that for this degree... probably not. I mean to be real, student loan repayment sucks (having to do it now with my hubby). However, every person is different for what they think is okay in terms of amount of debt. I just keep searching for funding, hoping I will find something for at least half of my graduate school. I am definitely overwhelmed by it!
  6. I was accepted into another graduate program at UofM 2 years ago. Another place I was told to look for funding is on the University of Memphis Student Affairs website. There is a place for assistantships and it will let you know when something becomes available in different areas on campus. Just in case the department has limited funding. I also applied for housing graduate assistantships. Good luck... I am hoping for funding too at other schools:)
  7. I don't know. I am not sure how to check it.... Honestly, I probably would not be able to remember my password. But, I was supposed to let them know my decision by March 15... so maybe they will have another round coming up soon.. If you have not received a rejection letter, then I would think thats still a good sign.
  8. Thank you. I found out yesterday close to 5 in my email. I checked my status about 3 times during the day and nothing had changed. Then when I finally checked it last night, there was congratulations. I am also going to be sent snail mail as well. This was a long wait, so I really hope you hear something soon too and good luck!
  9. Postal service. The letter was dated Feb. 21st... Also it could depend on how early you sent in your applications. Other than Tennessee, I sent mine in at the beginning of January and mid-December. Who knows how the process works.. Oh and a friend who emailed Valdosta said decisions would not be made til April. Hope this helps... Did you apply for the scholarship at FSU? I think it was the literacy grant.... I have not applied and was wondering if I should wait until I get accepted/rejected. (hopefully we both get accepted)

  11. I Yes it is Alabama. I applied for summer admission though, so mine may have come quicker than if you applied for Fall. Stay positive! Hopefully more schools will send info soon!
  12. Yea. I should have applied to USF... They seem to have a great program and Tampa would have been a cool city! Oh well. I am hoping I have a few choices and some funding opportunities... These out of state schools will get expensive without it!
  13. I am waiting on GSU. I did find out their spring break was last week, so that is probably delaying decisions. I had my interview 2 weeks ago too and I check their website and my email way too many times a day. Was that the only GA school you applied to? Also your are not that much older than me, so do not worry about that. I am just wondering how they are going to let us know... postal? phone calls? Good Luck!
