I applied to M Arch I (3 yr) and need to know soon if I'm in so I can either pay for summer school or drop. Oh, and quit my full-time job which would be nice. At this rate they will let us know on the 14th!
Then you might want to call them up and find out, in case you've already emailed them and got no response, because from these forums it seems like quite a few M.Arch 3 yr people have already heard from UCLA, and yes, their deposit deadline is the 15th of April, as far as my knowledge goes. You could search the gradcafe survey index (results) for further information on the dates of acceptance etc.

Has anyone heard from UCLA yet? Isn't the deadline April 15th?!?! I'm beyond stressed out at this point.
Did you apply for the post prof (2 yr) M.arch or the 3 yr one? If the former, then UCLA is yet to respond to ANYONE it seems! It'll take them another week or so...
-
I applied for M Arch I and have yet to hear anything. I did break down and email them on Monday but still nothing. Good luck!
I'm not too sure about M.Arch I, because I've seen quite a few people on Gradcafe who've received their decisions...so yours just might be on the way!
As for emailing, I did that too and got no response. I am to believe that they're sending out the M.Arch II decisions by the end of the first week of April.

I'm from Lithuania...today I wrote email to admission office, but still no answer.
My status turned Decision made a week ago.... so, I can't wait any more... this situation makes me crazy))
CALL THEM UP!

Hi!
Has any post professional masters applicant (M.Arch II- 2yrs) heard from UCLA AUD yet? March comes to an end, and there's still no sign from them.
If you've had any communications- --phone calls, emails--- with the dept. earlier that might help to soothe the anxious nerves, then please leave a post. Thanks!

Hi everyone
I applied to U of T M.Arch II program and still waiting for the decision, but my application status changed from Under review to Decision made about a week ago.... and till now no postal mail, no any e-mail...
Does someone also apply to M. Arch II for Fall 2011... If yes did you receive your decisions?? accepted? rejected? (especially international students)
I got my decision (a sad rejection) around 2 weeks back. You might want to call them up (yes, make that international call..) or try emailing them first. They do NOT send you an official decision via email. So keep logging onto your ET UID system and check. And as far as I know, their open house is over (last week) so you should've heard from them by now.

Where are you going in Sept?
Wow! Finally somebody responded! I was beginning to think that if no one applied to these courses then why am I not getting an easy admit!
I'm yet to hear from UCLA...but I've more or less settled for USC as of now...they're offering a very lucrative scholarship.

What is the application status website for USC architecture program?? Is it the application login home page where ur application actually is or is it separate?
Its the same webpage...the application log in/status webpage. Once USC makes a decision, you will see a status check/ decision letter link at the bottom of the page that appears on logging in.
-
What's the deal with USC?
Anyone herd anything?
On mailing them they said they will start sending postal notifications by early April. The admission decision will be posted on the Application status website also, as soon as a decision on your case has been taken.

I know I'm not arch, but I applied to Cornell's HPP program, and also got an invite to that open house with no other communication...after emailing I found out that I was wait listed there.
I got a reply from Cornell's Admissions Office this morning notifying me of the same. Wait listed there too! God knows how many people they are putting on the wait-list...Grad cafe and Cyburbia already seem to have a billion people who say they're on the Cornell waitlist...whichever program it is!

Call Michelle Sinnigen at 607-255-6701 to ask her. She's very nice.
Um..from India?
Well I've emailed her, so if she doesn't respond by tomorrow (AND if I can hold on to my curiousity for that long) then I guess I will try the international call...
-
Just got an invite to Cornell's Open House...it's thrown me into utter confusion, because I haven't heard from them regarding my admission status yet! Could anyone tell me whats happening? Do they send invites to everyone irrespective of admittance?

I am neurotically checking the UT Austin Application Status Page. Nothing has changed there. How the heck do I get my results?
Has anyone heard from University of Washington (Seattle) yet?
Saw a different message today on logging into UT Austin's Application Status Page...rejected. * Sobs*
Still waiting to hear from 3 schools..not a rosy picture at all!

I'll put in the first chip!
Here's where I stand-
Carnegie Mellon- Accepted
UPenn- Accepted
Harvard GSD- Rejected (and through a thoroughly impersonal email!)
UT Austin- Yet to hear from
USC- Yet to hear from
UCLA- Yet to hear from
Cornell- Yet to hear from

Hey there! Tried searching for a thread on Sustainable Design but was unable to find one. Hence started one of my own!
Please spill the beans on your status...as in, where all you've applied, where you stand as of now, and where you're finally deciding to go.
-
"To date, no decision has been made on your application." - UCLA
"We have received all credentials required to process your application. Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review." - UT Austin
I'm freakin' tired of seeing the same message every day!
C'mon man...allow me to move onto the next level of the stress game i.e. decision making!

Friday came,
And Friday went.
My Inbox's still empty,
No letters they sent!
-
Thanks! Emailing Cornell now . . . . .
Their response:
We are currently working on getting them mailed out tomorrow and next week. Emails and phone calls if accepted will start probably Monday.
Cool. Thanks for the update. They had said it'll be somewhere around mid-march when I had mailed them.

I'm a licensed architect in CA. I applied for the M.Arch program
- Got the rejection emails (which I find unbelievably impersonal) from:
Harvard
Princeton
Yale
Columbia
- Got an acceptance Package from
University of Michigan
- Still waiting to hear from
U.Penn
U. Texas at Austin
U. Washinton (Seattle)
U. of Oregon
Cornell
UC Berkeley
MIT
Got a rejection email today from Harvard myself (although the course opted for in that school was not M.Arch)..and yes, it was thoroughly impersonal!
As for Cornell, you could try emailing them. They responded when I sent them an application status query. For UPenn, you might have to wait till the 14th, I guess!
-
Someone somewhere said that these admission -acceptance/rejection letters are sent out alphabetically. Is that true? Coz then I have a loooooooooooong wait.
-
And after checking this forum (similar to grad cafe) I got even more confused..and not to mention, depressed!
-
Decided to join the bandwagon after all! Sharing the same nail biting moments...checking mails more than 10 times a day (like that would accelerate the process of my applications/admission decisions anyway)...March is going to be a torture...each day...every minute!!!

Hello!
I'm surprised that there are just 3 lonesome posts in the USC thread...expected to find a decent number, especially after knowing that lots of people have made it there this Fall..anyways, I'm off to USC for the Master of Building Science program (Architecture)
