They told me they'd give me a $10,000 fellowship and cover tuition for 3 hrs per semester. Another guy who is in the MA program here at GA Southern has been accepted into their PhD program and said he was told he'd be getting funding, they just haven't said the amount yet. I'm sending the paperwork in tomorrow.

I hate it that you didn't get in. Try again next year though!

I was wondering about this myself, as I'll be attending in the fall. Since I won't be able to visit the town, I really don't want to sign a lease with an apartment I can't tour personally. I may end up living in La Aldea through next May just to get my bearings on the city.

Hello all! I applied to MA programs at Vandy (2 programs), Arizona State, Arizona, New Mexico, and UTEP (2 programs). As of now, I've been rejected @ Vandy and ASU and accepted @ Arizona, UNM, and UTEP (LA/Border studies, waiting to hear from the Hist. dept.). I'm fairly sure I'll be accepting Arizona's offer because it does come some funding and the department has some great professors in my area of interest (20th century Southern Cone, dictatorships and their effects on daily life/society/culture/etc). Anyone else going to Arizona?

Will you be accepting? I think I am going to accept their offer. I heard from the MA in LA/Border studies program from UTEP, still waiting to hear from their Hist department. Arizona has the faculty I really want to work with. I'll be seeing you in the fall hopefully! Also, did you get any funding out of them?

I found out on 10 March that I've been accepted to Arizona's MA program via an email from the Hist Graduate Coordinator and received a letter in the mail from UNM last Thursday notifying me of acceptance. Still waiting to hear about funding from U of A. UNM isn't offering anything. I'm leaning more towards Arizona at the moment. Still waiting to hear from UTEP. Have you heard anything else? You aren't the only one waiting. After hearing 3 quick no's (2 from Vandy, 1 from AZ State), I'm still waiting to hear from Arizona, New Mexico, and 2 UTEP programs (admissions hasn't closed for one yet). Hopefully soon though!

I applied to the MA Latin American History programs at the University of Arizona and the University of New Mexico and haven't heard back yet. Has anyone heard anything?
