I've recently received acceptance from Hunter, Columbia and NYU's MSW programs. My experience is in the clinical side of things, and would like to continue with clinical work --- however, I'm also interested in policy and administration in the future. From NYC residents & social workers, the overwhelming advice seems to be in favor of Hunter's program as a program that better prepares social workers for multiple facets of social work. I was offered a scholarship at NYU that would make tuition comparable to Hunter's, so that is fortunately not an issue right now. Still waiting to hear from Columbia about funding though. I would love to hear your opinions and/or experiences about the relative strengths and advantages of each of these programs, and which you would recommend.... Thank you!
