No, not applying to Yale. Sorry. But normally Yale decisions are out end Feb- early March.

Anyone claiming History and Anthro at UMich? I was told everyone would be notified by the first week of March but I believe both admits and rejects have been sent out last week. I haven't heard a thing. I am assuming that is a no. :-)

Has anyone applied to the MIT HASTS program? I was interviewed last month and was told that notifications should be sent out mid march. But that hasn't happened. I am guessing I am rejected but I just wanted to know if anyone else has heard.

Hey Mesoholic! Congratulations on being waitlisted at Yale! Its a foot in! Did they tell you where you are on the list and/or how long it is? I am sure not everyone who was offered a place will take it, considering lots of people make it to more than one place. Also, have formal acceptance emails gone out from Yale? Any word from Harvard?

i just realised Spring break has either begun for a lot of colleges and/or will begin Friday. Here is to hoping the uncertainty ends by then! Good luck to everyone!

Haha.. well.. they don't interview either do they? (at least that's what their website says). I actually dont know how the admissions system works at Harvard, considering there are no interviews etc. How do faculty decide? And does anyone know how many intakes were there last year? (not that I have any chance at Harvard, but just for stats )

I am glad that there is some news. Hopefully Harvard will send out regular mail soon, I am really looking forward to hearing from them and the others Platysaurus, did you get an acceptance from Harvard? There was a waitlist post from Harvard, has anyone else gotten a letter in the mail?

Hey mesoholic, I know Yale sends out rejections only after the cohort is more or less certain (unless you are rejected in the first round of sifting that happens, in which case the rejection comes sometime in February). So I am hoping next week is the week for Yale. I am more or less certain to be rejected, but I would just like to hear it. Harvard, well, hopefully I should get a letter in the mail next week

Hi, Congratulations to everyone who's got firm offers and/or are waitlisted (at least its a foot in) I just saw some results for JHU. Does anyone know more? I am a bit cheesed off with the silence now. I am waiting to get rejections from Yale and JHU. Harvard I don't know what to think about. I didn't go out of my way to contact people at Harvard, but when I did, they responded. But I would be very surprised to hear anything positive from there. Has anyone heard anything concrete from Harvard Anthro? They should be sending out decisions starting today, is what they said. Sigh. Finish this already!

Hey, Harvard specifically said that they'd only send out a decision via mail and not email et al. Though this might be a case of a POI writing to the candidate. Also a few weeks ago I remember there was a post about an interview with Harvard, definitely a hoax. So there is no saying, really :-)
