Hmmm, OK. So much for my theory! I sure hope that I get funding, but considering the fact that I'm applying straight out of undergrad, I doubt it... but who know? Crazier things have happened.

Another longtime lurker here. Here's my question: of those who have yet to hear from SIPA, when did you submit your application? I didn't finalize mine until the day of the deadline, January 5th... I wonder if that has anything to do with our long wait? If they're reviewing apps in the order they arrived, that could explain why I haven't heard anything. I've gotten responses from all my other programs except SIPA (I applied for MIA, by the way), so, like everyone else, the wait is killing me.
