  1. Nice to know that at least you're happy! well I contacted both ETS and the university. And like iamincontrolhere-haig said they have granted me a "one time exception" and sent the scores again. Now I'm hoping that the university will receive it. They told me to check my application status to see if the scores have been received. Am keeping my fingers crossed
  2. I have contacted the graduate school, they have replied that they have not received my scores and that they have checked all the departments. Now I have to contact ETS. I also have a score report mailed to me in paper format which clearly states that the score has been reported.
  3. I've submitted my application on November 7th, 2011. Just today I checked my application status and it states that the application is incomplete and that the GRE scores haven't been received yet. The toefl scores, transcripts, recommendations all have been received except for my GRE scores. What should I do? I sent out all my scores way ahead. How can this happen? Will this affect my chances of getting an admission? Should I contact ets? they don't have any email or number for "score reports delay or problems" I even checked the institution codes, I've got all of them right. Maybe it's because I sent out my GRE scores way ahead (August 2011) but I submitted my application just recently. Should I send the scores again? please help!
  4. I'm applying for MS in Financial Engineering. This is an essay type answer to a question given by the university. Its my first draft and would appreciate it if someone could read my essay. Anyone interested?
  5. That's what I'm planning to do. Thanks for the advice!
  6. Not all universities accept percentages. For example Columbia and NYU requires gpa to be filled in the application form
  7. I'm an Indian and I did my UG in anna university. Unfortunately the scoring system is different and therefore I only have my marks as percentages. I have no idea how to convert it to a gpa. I've found different sites claiming different methods and I'm really confused. Please help me. I've completed my Bachelors in Information Technology. My aggregate is : 81% (top 5 percentile) Also I have another issue with my marks, my university provides a separate mark sheet for each semester and finally a consolidated mark sheet (with all the marks together), after completion of the degree. The problem here is that my consolidated mark sheet has mentioned that my aggregate is 81%, this calculation excludes my first year marks (this is due to lateral entry students who join during second year). If I include my first year marks, then i get an aggregate of 80%, however this mark is not mentioned in any of my mark sheets. So which marks should I consider 80 or 81? if i convert it to gpa will it be the same? has anybody ever faced this issue? help me!
  8. if i take up gre again, i have to follow the new pattern . I don't wanna waste my time, I've got a lot of work. Am just gonna take up the next best university, simon (rochester) and a few other universities admit students having a score less than mine. So am gonna try those schools
  9. Thank for your reply. I did check out the other colleges, all of them requiring 750+ in quants for the finance course So i'm gonna try for a different course like Manangement and systems from NYU-SCPS (though i dont know if that's a good option)
