Yes, I submitted my application almost two months before the due date. I have emailed the department and the graduate school office and the first time they said they were making final decisions and the second email was kind of vague. Just kind of "I'm not sure of your status, I will forward this email to the program manager" Since then, nothing.

I applied to graduate school this past March, for a Master's Degree. The application deadline was the first week of May, 2011. It is mid July and I still have not heard a response from the graduate school regarding my acceptance. I have e-mailed my department and the grad admissions office and no one can give me a real answer as to what my status is. When I check my status online it just says "no decision available yet". So I'm wondering if I should still wait or try and continue to call or email someone? Orientation starts August 15, it just seems so late. Is it possible they will never tell me and I just assume I didn't get in?? Thanks

Well the application deadline is May 5. Everything else for my App is done and all my other LOR have been submitted. I'm just waiting on this one from my director, which is pretty significant. From what I can tell, she is not taking things very well. I just did not know how long to wait and how to approach her. Is next week too soon? I just dint want to wait until the very last minute to submit my stuff.

How long should I wait to ask someone for a LOR after a death in the family? I have already asked this person a couple weeks ago, and I was finishing up my SOP and Resume for them to use as a reference. All other parts of my application are complete and ready, I'm just waiting on this on last LOR.
