I am from India and I will be applying for the F1 student visa. I wanted to know how long will I be legally permitted to stay in the United States after the completion of the program if I haven't already found a job? In other words, how much time do I have to look for a job after the program concludes? Also, does this time frame depend on the program and the university or is it independent of your university and program?

If anyone does attend the openhouse, please let u s all know what happens there. @MegaMind - I got a reply to my queries. The instructions will be mentioned in the email that we would be getting from the Graduate Division. The deadline to inform them of our decision is April 15th. I am yet to receive their official mail.

I too have been admitted to M.Eng. in EECS for the visual computing concentration. I wanted to know the list of courses from which we can choose our technical electives. I could not find this mentioned anywhere on their website. Any ideas? Also, do you guys feel that this will be valued at par with the M.S. degree in the industry later on?
