  1. Hi guys, I have an offer from GPPI and am hesitating what to do. I am an international student and the course seems someow a little bit american focus. I am not sure how it compares with LSE (MPA), which is the other offer that I have. The careers office seems frinedly but I haven´t got the chance to visit any of the open houses. I am sure there are more people like me with offers from GU which would appreciate an update from your experiences. Thanx!
  2. Hi there, I really need some advice. I have been accepted to some degree in International Development but am not convinced with my options. I am considering deferring and trying to re-apply next year, would you I am completely mad? what would you say? My options are: MPA in ID (LSE), MPP (Georgetown - GPPI) and Hertie. I am basically between the first two and a little bit more inclined for LSE. However I am a little bit concern about LSE´s MPA, as I have read mixed reviews. Basically it doesn´t seem to compete with other similar MPAs or MIA at other american unis. Have you attended MPA at LSE or do you know anyone who has? I would really appreciate your feedback. Georgetown´s MPP seems interesting and is really flexible. Also many students take up opp to intern in Washington during academic year. However I am somehow a little bit concerned that the spirit of the faculty might be too conservative, and therefore links with EU would be similar. Any opinions? My doubts are so deep that am considering deferring LSE and trying to apply next year. I would apply to SIPA, HKS, WWS, Fletcher and Oxford (MPhil in Development Studies) and wait until I can see if I can make it into any of these before conforming. I do not have a job at the moment though and the moment seemed ideal to do the master, what would you do? Can you give an advice in the following: - Do you think it is substantial the future career prospects between this degree so that is worth the year? - or LSE/GT would take me to a similar place without the harm of the year in between. Thanks so much for reading my post and hope to hearing your opinions soon. Good luck with your choices and decisions!
  3. Hi guys, I have seen your posts from last years and was wondering what choice did you made and what are thoughts one year later. I have also been accepted to LSE´s MPA in ID and Georgetown´s MPP in ID but am considering deferring and trying SIPA, HKS and Oxford? I do not know what to do, any thoughts? I hope you are enjoying your courses one year later and thanks for any response!
  4. Hi guys, I have been accepted into the MPP at GPPI. I am very eager to get some feedback from the course and was wondering if any of you who took the course could update me on the course and prospects for what you have seen so far. I am an international student and would probably be taking the ID or environmental track. What do you think? Thanks!
  5. Hi there, I received an admissions offerfrom Georgetown’s PPI for its Master in Public Policy in the InternationalDevelopment Track but am having some doubts about the course. It seems to bemore American focused rather than internationally. In addition, I am slightlyconcerned about the strong quantitative component of the course, as I am notcoming from an economics background. I am keen on international development but not sure if this is the right school. The course seems to be moreexpensive than expected and am unlikely to have an scholarship. My question is,does the benefits in terms of future career prospects, recognition of theinstitution and network, and internship opportunities outweigh the costs? I really liked SIPA but havebeen selected to re-apply next year. I also hold admissions offers from LSE(MPA) and Hertie School of Governance. The last one also offers possibility ofspending a semester at Duke, or GT and also exchange with LSE and SIPA. I really don´t have an idea ofwhat to do… Any opinions?
