  1. So NWU and UIUC have scheduled the same dates for their visiting weekends.... I wonder why they do that. I've seen a few schools in the same city or state that schedule their visit dates back to back so students can attend both. If you were to choose, which school would you rather go visit on the officially scheduled dates?
  2. Congrats on CWRU and UCSD! I'm not familiar with UCSD MSE but I have a friend who go there for grad school. I think s/he is pretty happy with his/her choice. If us news ranking means anything, here it is. I agreee with some parts of it and am skeptical with others. 3. Please don't put words into my mouth. I didn't even say I was surprised. I was just wondering why these people just posted their results and never posted here in the forum.
  4. wasn't expecting it but thanks for investigating! Any news around here? None for me this week.

    Drama Alert

Copying Results? If thegradcafe had not collected the results, how would yuster have obtained the results in that period. Yuster was up after thegradcafe and, remember, you can't go back in time. How would you get a hold of those posters? Not all people posted their results to both thegradcafe and yuster. Suppose thegradcafe never existed and yuster was the only website of this kind, how could you be sure that all of these people (who posted on thegradcafe) would have posted their results on yuster. People find out about these websites in different ways and there are chances that they only came across thegradcafe but not yuster. My opinion on yuster copying thegradcafe's results: Lame Copying Website Idea? If whogotin didn't exist, would there never ever be a website for tracking admissions results? You never know. Someone has to start it at some point in time. My opinion on the guest accusing thegradcafe of stealing whogotin's idea: Not reasonable
  6. Someone was accepted to nwu but rejected from cornell?
  7. Anyone heard back from Northwestern or UPenn at all? I'm starting to worry :? Also, please post your results. Any information is appreciated by everyone.
  8. why don't you look at the results section for applied physics? There is an entry for harvard applied physics phd.
