  1. For those of you who are - like myself - still waiting for something from Columbia, I emailed them a couple of days ago and got a reply... that they "will be sending out decisions by mid March." By the way, has Michigan finished sending out their decisions? I'm a Fulbrighter, so I hear decisions a little bit slower (via Fulbright offices), but I STILL haven't heard anything from Michigan. Goodness, if I've been rejected, I'd like to be told straight away... Have they finished announcing?
  2. panotpijohn, I'd received your email, but I couldn't reply to your address... my mail server said that it couldn't deliver the email, and I'm sorry I wasn't able to reply to you. I've been accepted into Brown history Ph.D, and I received my official acceptance letter by postal mail. The letters were dated 18 February. Before and after the official letter arrived, I was also contacted by four of the faculty members of Brown history... As far as I know, the accepted students have all been invited to the mid-March prospective students' weekend, by a grad student who's organizing the visit. Hope this information helps!
  3. Thanks for your advices! I think I've gotten over (well, pretty much) the initial disappointment... and am leaning toward accepting the school that made me a great offer, even if it hadn't been the top-top-top school I'd been hoping for. (I guess it is, now. )
  4. Okay, I got rejected from my top priority school. I want to ask those of you who got admission from some schools that weren't your tops, but got rejected from the school you wanted to get into the most, what do you do? Do you go to the schools you got admitted into, or do you apply again next cycle?
  5. I was offered a stipend of 19,000 from Brown in Rhode Island - but being an international student, I can't really grasp if that is enough or if I'll be needing more... Does anybody know?
  6. Here I am, clicking on the e-mail box for the past two and a half hours, doing nothing else! The suspense of expecting them to send me a decision e-mail in between my clicks... Has Columbia made its announcement?? Or is it in the process of making them? Why do so many (seemingly) people say they're waitlisted or accepted or rejected... and I haven't heard a word from them?!
