Congrats to everyone who has received a scholarship so far! Alternates: hang in there! I just heard from my old landlady that my letter is in my mailbox, but I won't have time to go get it until 7pm tonight. Can anyone say "suspense and frustration?"
-
I didn't mean to reply to that last thread. Sorry!
-
Have any other Bangladeshers heard back? I'm assuming, if people are rejected or alternated, that they stop using this forum and put their information up on the spreadsheet? Cheers

Nothing in the mail for me today (Salt Lake City). Other Bangladeshers?
-
Yes! I literally can't concentrate on anything (which is terrible because I have to teach in 10 minutes). I hope to hear something tomorrow. I found out from Cara today that my notification was sent to my temporary address, which is no longer valid. But, hopefully tomorrow one of us will have some news. I'm a tad surprised it's taking this long seeing as how notifications were sent out on Monday. Good luck, Juju!

Oi, Bangladeshers! Still no notification for any of you? If notifications were sent out Monday afternoon, we should hear something either today or tomorrow. Where are all of you?
-
I would probably copy and paste (or something along those lines), too!
-
Tanyusha: Are you at the U of U? I'm a student in the U of U. If you're from the same university (in the same area), we should meet up!

Have any of you Bangladeshers heard back? Where are you all on the map? I'm in Salt Lake City, so I imagine I'll be one of the last to hear back.
-
I second that.
-
I'm thinking so. Although some India applicants found out a few weeks back. It seems that IIE was just waiting on budget stuff before sending out notifications.
-
I'm not sure. I didn't want to push my luck. The trend seems to be ETAs first, followed by full grants. I'm not sure that this is always the case, though. Best of luck to all Bangladeshers!

Just spoke with Cara. Notifications for the Bangladesh Fulbright group are going out this afternoon.
-
Both these programs are complementary, so CLS would understand if you declined it for a Fulbright. That's why they have that section on the CLS application that states that you can only choose one, either the CLS or Fulbright. If you have any other questions about CLS (even though this probably isn't the place for it), ask away! I'm an ambassador for CLS and went to Bangladesh the past two summers. Awesome program, I must say.

Hey there! I applied for the Fulbright ETA to Bangladesh. I have been really trying not to bug Cara. I figure we'll hear something when we hear something. :-)
-
Bangladesh is the same way. You simply can't rush them. I'm not expecting to hear anything before April 23rd--last year's notification date.
-
Very helpful, thanks!

Stu, I wouldn't be too upset about that. It's understandable, though. I e-mailed Cara Doble a few weeks ago, around mid-March, asking whether or not they had received my transcript. They told me that they would not notify me until much later whether or not they had received it, and that I needed to sit on my hands and play the waiting game. She said they were receiving far too many documents for each country's Fulbright applicant pool to notify individuals.

Say, when do I graduate from "Decaf" to "Caffeinated?"
-
Congrats to all of you guys! I'm sure they're all well deserved!
-
Hearing about all the notifications that are hitting the postal service is driving me crazy. Have any of you Bangladeshers heard from Cara? Cheers
-
Readtowin: I hate to say it, but I think you need to relax a little bit and quit asking so many questions. Things'll work out.

I talked to my FPA not too long ago, hoping to pry some information from IIE. However, she wasn't able to get any info. Then again, she may not have been that close to IIEers.

While I'm hooked on reading posts in this forum, does doing so stress anybody else out beyond belief? I almost think I would be better off not reading these posts. Yet, like Facebook, I can't bring myself to disconnect!
