I know a lot of students at Stanford working on their EE Master’s and other engineering Master’s degrees who got full fellowships through Stanford from outside sources. Each engineering department has the student’s essays and basic application information sent out to outside sources for consideration of a fellowship. This is quite prevalent in the engineering departments. There are a lot of students working on their Master’s degrees who have gotten full funding this way. Let us know how it works out, jscr.

That is a little like winning the lottery and not being able to cash in the ticket.

I am having a hard time believing the announcement date will be impacted by the budget negotiations. The SMART scholarship was announced yesterday right on time. SMART is a DOD award and is administered by the same organization, ASEE. NDSEG and SMART are sponsored by the same military institutions.

I am still not clear if Congress's inability to pass a budget effects NDSEG for this year. Have the funds already been allocated for this year? Does anyone know for certain?
