Alternate for Fulbright IIE, was kinda counting on this one. Devastated, really.

I am an alternate for the full grant to South Africa. I will not pretend that I am not incredibly disappointed by this.

There was no news today for South Africa

Likewise, nothing in Urbana, Illinois.

OH GOD. OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD.

I emailed him on Tuesday, and he said by the end of the week they'd be mailed out. Isnt' someone callign him today?

South Africa compatriots, I jumped the gun a bit and emailed Jermaine this morning. His reply was familiar: "I hope to have the hard copy notification letters in the mail for you and the other recommended candidates for South Africa in the mail by the end of this week at the very latest. Regards, Jermaine"

I can do this. I'll email/call him on Wednesday.

I called this morning and he was still vague and just April-ish.

I'm clearly preachign to the choir here, but this waiting is making me NUTS.

(broken records of encouragement are the best kind!) My fulbright coordinator at the University of Illinois just answered my anxious email and said that they were informed last year on April 12th, which might make more sense
