  1. Does any one feel that extending the application deadline (more than once) at the UofT ECE program is a disadvantage for the people who applied by the original deadline? If you applied to the ECE graduate program at UofT by the deadline, and then they extend the deadline (more than once), this means that your chances are becoming lower because more people are applying, which makes the process more competitive.
  2. well, I applied to the MASc in the ECE at Waterloo in 2007, and I received the rejection letter in mid April. For this year I applied for PhD and didn't receive anything yet. I sent them an email to request the status of my application as I have to make decisions regarding other offers, but didn't receive anything from them yet. So I assume they will reject my application again, which I don't care about now, but I regret for wasting the application fee.
  3. Hi JTJ. I am really not sure that I mentioned the "reputation" of U of T in my post. All what I am trying to do is to get some participants here to talk about their experiences. In contrast to what u have assumed, I am sure that UofT is one of the best schools in North America. I just tried to make a small notice about the level of "Quality Assurance" in UofT, and this is not just in UofT, a large number of schools misses this point. Anyways, thank you for your post.
  4. Hi all. As one of the applicants to grad school at U of Toronto, I would like to start this thread to share information about applications to Toronto. I've applied to MASc in ECE at Toronto and I didn't hear back from them till now. Even my emails, no body responds on them (this thing happened also at the early application stages when I was looking for more information, or when I wanted to inquire about some issues related to my application). I read many posts that mention "Toronto", and I got a bad feedback from what I've seen. Some people says that they didn't hear back from Toronto till November, others said that they never heard back. Any one would like to share his experience is welcome, and I wish the best of luck to all.
  5. I also applied to UoT and I didn't hear from them 'till now; I phoned them one month ago and they told me that decisions will be made in mid April. And since I didn't receive an acceptance or an email, I think my rejection letter is just on its way to my home country from Toronto
