Good morning! My rejection was posted on the website yesterday. I happened to check it this morning and didn't receive an email directing me there or anything. Hopefully you have better news!

I still haven't received anything official and was accepted almost a month ago. It's really strange.

I emailed GWU on 2/27... I've heard nothing. I broke down and emailed NYU and Stony Brook today. I will keep you posted on anything that I hear. I saw one NYU post from today of someone emailing and getting news back that way - so let's hope one of us has luck with these schools.

Not a thing. I also haven't heard from NYU. It's very strange. Anything for you from other schools?

Good morning! No, I didn't get that email. Weird. I wouldn't be able to go that weekend because of a conference commitment here in Boston, but I was thinking of going in April as well. Maybe I'll email Professor Kidd to see what's up with the letters and such.

I was accepted as well but have not yet received my official letter. What about the rest of you? I'm a little worried for some odd reason. To sundv, Lisbon's suggestion of emailing the department makes total sense to me. They're very nice down there and will probably give you an answer if they've made MA decisions.

I'm also waiting on Yale and Brown but figure that those are out, so I didn't mention them. Brown is not a good fit for me and Yale is Yale. Melancholyway, thanks for the encouragement on BU. I"m really hoping for that program - finishing my MA at BC right now and love the BU program. Also, the hubby and I adore living in Boston. Congrats to everyone on acceptances so far! It's been an insanely competitive year and I'm glad to see that people are getting into great programs with funding. I'll keep rooting for all of us!

I'm waiting and have heard nothing. I emailed the department on Friday afternoon and got no reply. It's very odd. I heard (via the GWU English blog) that they're having a lot of trouble with funding for the English program and wonder if that is happening in AmStud as well.

Great idea! Thanks for starting this thread. I have been accepted at BC and UFL for English w/ American Studies focus and waitlisted at UT Austin for pure American Studies. Still waiting on BU, GWU, and NYU. The wait for those three is killing me. My focus area is the twentieth century literature/film cultural intersection (that summary didn't come out quite right). How is everything going for you, Melancholyway?

I went to TC for Developmental Psychology and loved it. It's a great place. I also found them (at least Developmental Psych) to be really open to accepting people from the MA into the PhD program.
