Watch out! I am a current Stanford CEE student who also had 3 years of funding and I'm now transferring out because they don't fund you if you don't get a large grant. I have seen over 10 people leave in the past 2 years, and I'm now joining their ranks! If I could do it all over again I would have chosen my fully-funded offers.

Hi, I was recently accepted into the PhD program at Stanford for Civil and Environmental Engineering. I'm very excited, but I would like to know more about quality of life at Stanford. What is there to do off campus? Is it easy to meet new people? Are there opportunities for recreation? Where do most graduates live? Does on-campus graduate house suck? Any advice would help! Sally
