My friend has an interview with Cornell.

Glasgow just sent out email interview notifications.

The Sculpture dept. at Yale does not want actual work, they review slides at the interview. Only the painting dept. requires actual work at the interview.

CalArts doesn't have a painting program, it just has Art, Photo and Graphic Design. They sent out emails for Art interviews on Friday.

Ask your professors where they would recommend. Research artists you like, and find out where they went to school. Ask people at your favorite galleries what grad schools they would recommend. Ask everybody. Pretty soon, you will develop your own list of schools that keep popping up.

did anyone hear from the painting dept at Yale?

how did you find out about being accepted at Yale?

UCLA already accepted their 6 painters. They don't interview. I didn't get in, but someone I know did.

UCLA already accepted people. if you haven't heard, you didn't get in. (for painting at least).

a friend of a friend got in to ucla painting- they accepted 6 this year (all women).

USC's MFA program (Roski School of Art) phone interviewed people today. If you had made the cut, you would have found out on Thursday. (I didn't make it! Boo hoo!)

I am pretty sure that USC has notified most (if not all) of the people getting interviews. Maybe I'm wrong (I hope I am!).

What program did you apply to? I also have an interview at Yale on 3/23, but for painting.

ucla art doesn't really have interviews, unless a faculty member calls you with a question... ( i haven't heard back from either, applied for painting)
