Yessss, count me in!!! IR here.
  2. yes, I have and was wondering the same thing.... BTW, your stats look similar to mine, I mean mine's lower (can't even remember my GRE Verbal score, Q same, GPA about same, no econ/quant during UG) but I have 6 yr WE as PO at govt agency on int'l development. Don't think I'll make the funding either, just eager to know my results.
  3. but it's nice to know they're actually reading my app and didn't cut me off because of my stupid GRE scores...or did they?
  4. WishinnHoping, same for me... it's 3AM... I should be going to bed already, but I know I can't sleep... I thought I'm over this (I'm in SAIS), but everyone around me keeps bugging me about SIPA... and thanks for the 3% info. I keep jumping up every time I get their blog entry e-mail. How lucky we are to be the last 3%!!!
  5. thanks for the input, jpa! it's very valuable to hear from someone who's actually visited the schools bcs I can't go myself.
  6. well, it's not integrated per say, but according to their website, they state "All candidates must concentrate their studies in two programs, one of which must be International Economics " so you'll definitely be taking Int'l Econ. http://www.sais-jhu.edu/academics/degre ... centration For my personal preferences, I'll PM you later, but I totally agree with energie. It's all about what you want to study specifically, other preferences if any, and your future career goals.
  7. Tolo, no, I STILL haven't heard back from SIPA... but SAIS was my top choice so it's okay now. I have no idea about the switching-concentration thing, but I would go through the website again, then ask them directly to make sure. As for the Econ prerequisites, yeah, it was really hard to find but they do mention it's okay as long as you complete it pre-enrollment. http://www.sais-jhu.edu/academics/non-d ... /index.htm jpa - I'm taking the online course. Would love to go to the pre-term if I could afford it...
  8. Hi tolo, congrats and great to see you again. Looks like you've done really well this round, good for you! About the English summer program - nothing mentioned for me. Instead, they reminded me I had to take Macro/Micro Econ enrollment prerequisites. This could be a factor, considering my iBT was 113, not too different from yours. But if it was a recommendation you don't have to take it, right? About the concentration - same story as you, don't know if I made it into my first choice, but I'm optimistically assuming I did bcz I applied for IDEV which has capped enrollments as well. Can't wait for the package to arrive!!
  9. I'm in too!! Almost can't believe it  I think my waiting to hear from SIPA for a brutal 3 weeks payed off or something.
  10. hey, count me in the waiting club! and for those of you who got in, congrats!!! for thos of you who got waitlisted.... I'm truly sorry to hear that.... but at least you can get your priorities straight. keep the heads up!
  11. I'm still here... can't believe they actually still give out rejections after this long wait... I wish they looked at this forum and figured out how so many ppl are saying "got in but ain't going bcz it's too expensive", so that they just give the rest of us waitlisted, at the least yup, I'm day-dreamin'
