  1. I wouldn't be surprised if we all get an update tomorrow that says "Results will be available in late May" They did that last year - twice I think.
  2. The OGS site now says, "students will not be able to access the OSAP website online applications and statuses from 7:00 am to 9:00 am on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in order to complete a scheduled update." This is a good sign. Last year results started to trickle out after they would do system updates. Though they trickled out very slowly... Also, last year I was wait-listed and never received an OGS. For those of you that will get the "wait-list" status try to assume you will not receive one. From my experience and that of others - you rarely ever get off the damn wait-list.
  3. From what I've been able to figure out... the process this year is different than in the past. They say explicitly that there are no rankings until the list is needed. In past years it has given the students a number to contact in order to find out their ranking. So maybe this year they are cutting that ability to stop the phone calls from annoying the hell out of that one person who works at the office. Sucks for us - as we have no idea where we are on the list. It seems some departments released that information as well in the past. So your first stop may be your department's graduate administrator.
  4. Seems strange as well that it says "April 2011" as everyone else's changed to "early May 2011" a few weeks ago. Maybe something went wrong with your update?
  5. These are comforting words... I really hope this is the case. I've heard through some other forums in past years that OGS actually over awards with the understanding that many will turn it down due to SSHRC and the other larger awards. So it can actually take quite a few declines to get to the wait list. However, the "conditions" this year seem to have changed as they explicitly say that they are not ranking anyone (so we can't call in like people have in the past to find out where they are on the list). It actually says they won't even rank until the list is needed. Seems a bit fishy to me... wouldn't the ranking have been done already in order to determine who gets OGS or not?....
  6. This is what mine says: Adjudication Completed - On Wait List The Selection Board for the Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program (OGS) has completed the adjudication of candidate files for the 2011-2012 academic year. We regret that the Selection Board cannot recommend you for a scholarship in the first round of offers. However, your name has been placed on a wait list. Information is not available as to your rank on this wait list as it is not determined until such time a scholarship becomes available. So it would seem that the "reversion list" is the "on wait list" status...
  7. I'm on the waitlist. Anyone able to provide some insight on how that process works??
  8. I'm still hopeful we'll see some results tomorrow. The official update from the Ministry (after the extension was made to May) explicitly stated the "first week of May". It also said the letters would be mailed out at a later date (perhaps matching what the previous poster stated about May 25th). So tomorrow is their last chance! Fingers are crossed for all of us!
  9. Thank you for the updates... a shame the news isn't any better. I can't believe the date just keeps getting pushed back. Although, this is a government run program...
  10. You are definitely not alone... I've been checking everyday now as much as possible for almost 2-3 weeks... Will be glad to have this over with, regardless of the outcome!
  11. Don't worry psyched! Trust me... if others had heard by now, we would know! We've only heard from the Bio students at this point. The waiting is horrible though...
  12. Since I've clearly been logging into the OGS site every day for the past month... I noticed that the date was usually updated quite often. It could be that they haven't updated since the 24th as they are waiting until they input the results for the other sections (other than Bio). Doesn't make the waiting any easier. Every time I log in I think, "maybe this time...." 211/Sociology
  13. I am currently receiving this message when logging in to OGS: The online application is temporarily unavailable as it is currently being updated. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Please check back later. Perhaps we will see some status updates shortly.
  14. Just out of curiosity... it seems two out of the three of those who have currently posted positive results list the Sciences as their concentration. Perhaps it has only been particular disciplines that have released the results so far? Some selection boards may have finished more quickly than others? Not sure what has happened in the past...
