Finally! Received my letter in the UK today. I received a 2-year SSHRC award. This was my first time applying. And my stats are: * 4.0 Undergraduate Average * Graduated my master's in the UK with a distinction * No Conference presentations and three publications in peer-reviewed journals * Three reference letters from professors, two from my first and second PhD supervisors * Received a studentship with my current university Good luck to everyone!

And damn the British for having two four-day long weekends back-to-back!

Ohmigod, the suspense is absolutely killing me. Stupid me for not putting down my Canadian address for mailing purposes, now I am sat here in the UK twiddling my thumbs in agony just WAITING to hear back. Congrats to all successful applicants!

Are there any foreign students (i.e. not in Canada) that have heard about their SSHRC PhD applications? I'm in the UK and I have been almost stalking our mailman.
