Hey, here's a quick question. If my notification said that I am receiving a "SSHRC CGSD," this does mean it's a CGS, right? If not, I might have to eat my words. It sure sounds like a CGS, though.

Just heard from my program that I got the CGS - very, very pleased about this. Was very certain that I would not get the award, but not going to turn it down, of course. Don't know if I got the letter yet - I live in a small town where mail comes late. FWIW, I'm entering my second year of a PhD, A average in MA, one publication, no presentations, no prior SSHRC funding, but currently receiving a university fellowship.
