Hey all, just stopping by to say I went through this in the 2009 cycle, and posted my "what I learned" type-list here:
MFA Applications Will Kill Your Soul (But Don't Let That Stop You)

Hope it helps and best of luck! : )
I haven't accepted the offer yet, either. It did take a few weeks after I was notified before I got the email inviting me to the portal. You'll probably get it soon. It's kind of neat : )
Hi everyone, I've lived in Tucson for the past 3 1/2 or so years and just finished my undergrad at the U of A. If you want, you can check out my view of the town/school on my blog. It's in this post:

It's geared towards potential Creative Writing MFA-ers but there's some general info, too. Includes links. Hope it's helpful.
Good luck!
Seems like most CW people are over at the P & W boards and the MFA Blog. Apparently I felt I wasn't making myself crazy enough with those two forums, so I came to see if anything was happening over here.
Hi everyone, I'm in for the Creative Writing MFA in fiction. I'm going to their prospectives weekend 3/26-3/28, and I'm really excited. I've never been to Minneapolis or really anywhere in the Midwest before.
About where to live---have you been given access to the admitted student portal yet? There are some really great resources there about the areas where students tend to live.
