I requested a 'change of start date' yesterday in my acceptance email. I'll post the response when I get it. Edit: I just received confirmation of my acceptance and a note saying my request has been forwarded to the Fellowships department where it will be answered in the order in which it was received.

Hi Paperweights_ , I received a letter from SSHRC yesterday.

The wait is over! I've received official word of being awarded an MA CGS. I'm in the greater Vancouver area. Good luck to those of you still waiting, and congratulations to those who've had acceptances! I'm too excited to type....

They are on the SSHRC website. I 'searched' "Award Holders Guide A" and there is a tab for forms. Dave_WLU is more helpful than I am.

No letters further west yet? This week is killing me.

It was posted on Twitter an hour ago (by SSHRC) that Master's letters had been mailed. On a Friday, lol! Looks like we'll all be hearing next week.

I emailed both grad studies and my department. No one is admitting to knowing anything - grad studies says that they have not received word yet. However, if they are not supposed to tell students in advance of the letters being received, I can't blame them for not saying - even if they do know. Up until this week I thought I was a fairly patient person. Congrats to everyone who has confirmation of their award, good luck to those of us who haven't.

I made the opposite error and chose September instead of May (on an MA award). I emailed SSHRC and they responded that start dates can be changed once you receive official word that you've received the award. Hope this helps.

I've been lurking here for awhile now, but the suspense is killing me too, so I thought I'd join in. It is my understanding that MA applicants don't have as much to worry about as Ph.D. applicants - it's more of a formality unless something goes wrong at the national level (i.e. residency, minimum GPA). That said, I am not going breath easy and consider my plans as certain until I get the letter. Good luck to everyone who has applied.
