  1. I got a fellowship for Life Sciences - Biochemistry and had E/E E/E G/E (IM/BI). For IM, most of the comments praised the academic and research credentials. While the first two reviewers had positive comments for the research proposal, the third reviewer found it underdeveloped, hence the G. For BI, I have been doing a lot of minority outreach in graduate school and the reviewers agreed this showed commitment. I also had clear examples of how to have BI through international collaborations and promotion of science among underrepresented minorities.
  2. I have it on sunday too. The JHU interview is right before (friday-sat), but I also heard there are interviews for JHU on the 13th.
  3. I heard from MIT. They already scheduled people for the first round of interviews. I am on what seems to be a waitlist. The California schools are not doing very well because of the market problem. However, the stimulus plan was very generous to science and there should be a lot of grants coming in and more students being admitted nationwide (hopefully this term). Interviews: Georgia Tech, JHU, MIT (waitlist) Rejections: Stanford, Berkeley Unknown: Cornell, Caltech, WUSTL
