  1. I am thinking of getting my graduate degree in stage management, one of my professors mentioned Yale school of drama since I am from Connecticut. Does anyone know anything about the program (besides that it is expensive) and if there is a better or comparable program somewhere in New England??? Would really appreciate any suggestions since I am graduating this Spring. Thanks!
  2. Hey, i have a few questions...I've noticed on this forum that no one really talks about online programs. what does everyone think about them? Are they generally frowned upon in the real world? If there is a general positive connatation with them, then it might be something I highly consider (w/a hubby in the military). Although i'm not a big fan of taking classes online, it does seem like it would make life a lot easier. My second set of questions come from the fact that I have basically zero experience with social work, it wasn't even my undergrad major, although my major of anthropology seems pretty applicable with social work. So, before applying to any grad program whatsoever, should I try and acquire a little bit of experience?? I will actually be getting my BA in the fall, and was hoping to apply for fall of 2012, is that not enough time to make myself "look good" and have a higher chance of acceptence? Thanks all!
  3. I've visited Boston, MA a bunch of times, and it's a nice city. But is it actually a nice place to live? I'm not a big city girl, but Boston University seems pretty good, and relatively cheap (compared to USC, everything is, lol). I'm not too excited about the BU MSW, but it's pretty close to home and I could make due if the city was cool enough (cool as in diverse/relatively safe/outdoor activities, etc). Any suggestions about living there??? Thanks!
  4. What area of social work are you looking into? Sometimes I'm not sure if I want to go into gerontology or military social work, though I'm leaning more towards military... Thanks for your input!
  5. Lol, yup...just looked at the prices and am price-shocked! Still interested in the program, of course!
  6. Hello people! I literally just joined this forum, and I already have questions, haha. I really would like to get a MSW with a military concentration, but the only school I've heard of with a military program is the one in Cali near San Diego...anyone going or heard of someone going??? I'm curious if it's a good program/is the $ worth it (I'm not even sure how much it is, to be honest)?? I'm still waiting to get my bachelor's in Anthropology, should be graduating this fall! Any info on that program would be super helpful! Thanks. Or if you know of another military program, that works too
