  1. Yeah I agree. I can't seem to find a phone number either. There was one listed last year but this year seems to be just email. Still weird that only one B2 has heard and the rest of us are still waiting?
  2. Good to know. Thanks! What's the number you ended up calling?
  3. haha oops. wishful thinking I guess I haven't heard from anyone that received a B2 rejection yet (including me).
  4. Keepin the hope alive, I'll take it!
  5. They say on the website "If selected to receive a fellowship, you will be contacted no later than May 1, 2012".
  6. Ug. Still no letter or call. B2- west coast. I assume that I am out because it is May 1, but was hoping to get the letter today so I could quit thinking about it.
  7. I know one was pesticide stuff, so I think they are sending first round out together. That is what they did last year. Only advice I can offer is not to stress out. Last year they took their time and sent out rejections in two or more batches. The first batch came mid April and I didn't get my letter until early June. Phone calls also came from mid April-early June.
  8. some friends in my cohort received their letters on the west coast yesterday.
  9. talked to NCER guy again this morning. He FINALLY was able to get an answer from EPA. They said they still have 1,400 declination packets that are being sent out this week. Bottom line, if you haven't heard yes, you can expect a declination packet in the next couple of weeks.
  10. I have talked to the NCER guy 3 times now. He is not the problem, it is the EPA people. He calls the EPA daily trying to figure out what is going on. He told me that they would be finished making offers by Thursday at 5pm. The EPA also told him they would call us whether we got it or not, so I don't think they are giving him straight answers. If your lab mate got a letter last week, I bet we can expect the letters any day now. You should ask when it was postmarked, that would give us a better idea when it was sent out.
  11. A fellow labmate received her call of acceptance on Thursday morning for A2. It seems unlikely that they are still making calls, but maybe.
  12. Alright just got a phone call back after writing this. NCER hotline guy said that final phone calls should be made by closing tomorrow. He seemed to think that all declination letters have gone out and that you will get a phone call either way (rejection or not).
  13. Hi there. Thanks for the insight outdoorathon. Unfortunately I think you are right, in that the final wave of rejections will be sent out now, and we won't get them until mid-june. I am E1 (Global Change) and am on the west coast and have yet to hear anything. I did talk to one of the ncer hotline folks on Friday. He said he would call Tuesday morning and let me know what's up, but I haven't heard back from him. Anyway, thanks for the updates.
