Good luck! I decided to accept South Carolina's offer, mostly because my mentor loved it there. I'm sure you'll hear from them really soon...Also, if you're interested (and don't already have it) I can send you the list of fall semester classes so you can gawk over it. Or maybe that's just my own nerdy idea of a good time...but I have a feeling we're all nerds here when it comes to books!

I just emailed them to check my status, and they said I've been waitlisted. Then they said that if I have a funded offer elsewhere, I should definitely take it. (Duh). But I'm sure what they really mean is that I have zero chance of getting in off of their waitlist. Anyway, if you still haven't heard back, you're probably on the same list (and hopefully higher up it than I seem to be!). They were pretty quick about getting back to me, so try emailing [email protected] for your status. Good luck!

I would LOVE to be able to make a final decision, but I can't until the rest of my schools get their acts together. I'm in at 3 schools, but only 1 has let me know about funding. I'm pretty sure I'll turn it down because the other two schools have slightly better reputations, but I can't say for sure- what if the better schools can't fund me? And I'm still waiting to hear back from 3 more schools! Once I do hear back, I plan to inform the schools of my decisions as soon as I can since I feel really bad for everyone on waitlists- I'm having a hard enough time waiting for an email about funding! Thanks! The email said that I'm in the top end of the applicant pool, that they feel I'd be a really good fit for their program, and that they're working to find the necessary money to accept me. Which sounds awesome to me!! I'm just afraid that they sent the same message to fifty people. Even if they did, it's still the best news I've heard yet!

Did anyone else get an email from Penn State this morning? (I'm guessing a bunch of you did). Do you think we're definitely in?? I'm so excited, but I'm afraid that they sent it to way more people than they'll actually accept. Thoughts?
