Yes. Since most (all?) terminal MA programs are unfunded, I doubt enrollments were cut much due to the economy. This sort of thing came up on a thread in the Decisions section. I wonder how hard our field is being hit.

Re: UT -- For the PhD, there was an email from the dept, and the secretary subsequently set up a listserv type thing. Hope that helps. Also, anyone have any info on the number of students accepted at various programs? According to the results I've seen, looks ike NW was 4, U of Chicago 2, UCSB 5, UT 8, Harvard 2-3... anything else? Somewhat curious.
