i didn't expect a NSF-GRFP notification tonight and I am blown away. i actually ran around my apartment in circles like a crazy person.... i am so pleased and overwhelmed with gratitude!

came back from a date to find out i've won GRFP, holy crap!!!

i had an awful night of sleep and i blame nsf! maybe this is some kind of april fools joke...

I would like to have already made a decision by now but I am still waiting on funding info from a couple of schools and I am also still waiting to hear if i am accepted into or rejected from ASU!! I hope funding info arrives soon and that the people who know they won't be attending certain schools they've been accepted to will just hurry up and send in their declines so that some of us can find out if we're in or not! Just my current feelings on the situation, but i am also in that strange, small group of people who are hanging in the balance Where are you thinking of going Erudite, you have so many choices!

Did any of you guys apply for an NSF GRFP?

Hey erudite crudite I contacted the grad adviser at OSU but she didn't have info on funding, she said she wasn't privy to that. I wonder when we'll hear...or how? I received the posted official offer letter in the mail from OSU a couple of days ago but there was no funding info attached to that. Surely they know how much this impacts our decisions, I would have thought they would let us know by now. Then again, I got into UCSB over a month ago but still haven't heard on funding there either. Anyone else know about OSU funds?

I see that there are 3 people who posted acceptance to ASU bioarchaeology and that they were phoned last week. I still haven't heard anything and my status on the website hasn't changed either. Should I keep waiting or should I write an email and see whats up? I know I should be patient but if its gonna be bad news I'd rather get it over with. today.

Any suggestions about what to do if you've gotten into a school you're very interested in but they don't have any money to help pay for the cost of a visit to the school?? I can't afford to visit if I have to pay for plane tickets out of pocket with no reimbursement from the department...

argh.

OSU confused me too! :? I saw that a couple of you had seen the website's status change so I figured I should check mine, and it said accept/decline the offer. Not the most exciting way to find out you're in, but hey, I still did a dance in my cubicle. Weird that we haven't received an email or some kind of contact from the department about admission. Maybe they are sending it snail mail style? Each day feels so slow now, I can't help but keep refreshing my emails and the damn results page!! It's the last two now that are slowly consuming me...

What's up with ASU? One person says acceptances starting to go out while another says they are waiting on a new budget...any clues? My application status still says "In Review" hmm...

against all reason i check fastlane daily. ok, sometimes twice a day.
