Well, I haven't heard about the LEAP scholarship, and with offers from other universities, I have declined my admission. If there is anyone on the waiting list, a spot may have opened up (and maybe more LEAP funds)!
It certainly is possible attend a masters engineering program without an undergraduate degree in engineering. That being said, the admissions are very selective for students without an engineering background. I applied to LEAP because I was unsure if I would get any master's programs, but I was accepted into two engineering programs (master of science), so I would prefer to skip the additional LEAP year. In case you were wondering about my background I have a bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in mathematics, so I might have a little more science/math background than others applying to the LEAP program. I was also concerned with the amount of debt that I would have upon graduation, which seems would be rather high at BU.
I wish everyone in LEAP good luck (and those that are considering LEAP)!
